Which regulator does the Etna Black Edition use?
The heater is supplied with a push-fit (clip-on) propane regulator set to 37 mbar. This is the standard UK propane operating pressure and fits directly onto the valve of a standard Calor Gas propane cylinder or equivalent push-fit propane bottle. No tools are required — simply push the regulator firmly onto the bottle valve until it clicks into place, then turn the bottle valve fully open before lighting.
Which gas bottles are compatible?
The Etna Black Edition is compatible with standard propane cylinders available from Calor Gas, Flogas, and most UK garden centres. Typical cylinder sizes used with this heater are 5 kg and 13 kg propane bottles. The bottle sits inside the base cabinet — the 5 kg cylinder fits within the cabinet; a 13 kg cylinder may need to be positioned externally with the hose routed through the access door. Always ensure the cylinder stands upright and the area is well-ventilated.
Can I use butane instead of propane?
The Etna Black Edition is designed for propane only. Butane is not recommended for this heater for the following reason: butane does not vaporise reliably below approximately 5 °C, which means it can fail to produce adequate gas pressure during cold UK evenings — exactly when you need your patio heater most. Propane vaporises efficiently down to around -40 °C, making it the correct choice for year-round outdoor use in the UK. The supplied push-fit regulator is also rated for propane and should not be used with a butane cylinder.
Is the regulator and hose assembly safe to use as supplied?
Yes. The included push-fit propane regulator and hose assembly meets EN 16129 standards for LPG appliance connections. Before first use, check the hose for any kinks, cracks, or damage and ensure all connections are secure. If the hose or regulator shows any signs of wear, replace it with a compatible EN 16129-compliant assembly before use. Do not use PTFE tape or additional sealants on push-fit regulator connections.
Delivery Information
We offer free UK delivery on all orders over £100 with the following exceptions: Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and other remote areas of Scotland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight and Isle of Scilly. If you would like delivery to any of these locations please contact us in advance at hello@theoutlethome.com for a quote and specific delivery times. The delivery charge for items under £100 is £10.00.
Deliveries usually take place from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 9pm but we may deliver outside of these hours during busy periods.
Small items
Our smaller items are delivered via DPD, Parcelforce and Fedex within 5 - 7 working days from the date of order. You will be provided with your online tracking reference once your order has been dispatched.
Medium to large furniture items
Delivery of our medium to large furniture items is usually within 14 working days from the date of order, unless otherwise stated in the product information. Most of our larger furniture items are delivered by a specialist courier on a two man delivery service.
Some of our larger furniture items may be delivered via pallet delivery - in this event the pallet service is usually a kerbside delivery and it will be your responsibility to dispose of the pallet afterwards.
Once your order has been dispatched the courier will usually contact you in advance via email or text message with your delivery date. For this reason it is important that the contact information you provide is correct and up to date. Once you have received the delivery text or email you will be given the option to reply to confirm the date, which you must do or the delivery may not go ahead. Upon delivery you must be available to sign for your order.
You are also responsible for making sure that the furniture will fit in your home and that the courier has suitable access if required. Deliveries usually take place from Monday to Friday but we may deliver outside of these hours in busy periods.
Same or next day delivery

Returns Information
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, or unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. The item will be inspected upon its return and refunds will be processed within 10 business days. For large items that cannot be returned with the parcel courier please contact us at hello@theoutlethome.com and we can arrange a collection for you. If your item(s) has been assembled and is not faulty, or has been used, you will not be able to return it for a refund.
